The federal government has announced that the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE) declaration will end on May 11, 2023. You could be wondering what this means to your coverage on COVID-19 vaccines, PCR and home antigen tests and treatment. Rest assured. We’ve got you covered.

For CCHP members in Individual and Family, Covered California, and Employer Group plans:

  • You can continue to access COVID-19 vaccines, tests and medically necessary treatments at no cost within or outside of your plan’s provider network until November 11, 2023.
  • You will continue to have the same coverage if you receive service within your plan’s provider network after November 11, 2023.

Do you have Medi-Cal or know someone who does?

The end of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE) declaration also means Medi-Cal will resume its annual renewal screenings to make sure people continue to qualify. This is called the Medi-Cal Redetermination. You are encouraged to act before you find out you are without coverage when you need it most.
